For the first time in the acclaimed Port Royale series, you are not alone in the beautiful and seemingly so peaceful seas of the Caribbean. And there you are, a young sea captain whose only goal is to become the most powerful man in the New World. The mighty kingdoms of Spain, England, France and the Netherlands fight over the colonies. But a brand new game for me at full price crashing? Nah, I'll come back later. The Games on Demand version supports English, French, Italian, German, and Spanish - Manuals can be downloaded from The Caribbean, in the turbulent 17th Century. It has something to do with the entities spawned within the game or something from far as I can tell. I mean I hope they do fix it and if they do I'll totally come back and purchase the game again but I couldn't justify the price of this game for 2-4 hours of gameplay then a crash and progress loss. sometimes more reports or longer time can be needed to fix a problem. Mind you, if you have been around long enough (if you are old and experienced enough), then you might have noticed that some bugs can be harder to squash than others - e.g. I of course believe people when they report that they have freezes, but still people ought to work with Kalypso Media and Gaming Minds to get the issues fixed.Īnd as kalypso_Lord MK expresses in an earlier post then they can not fix the problem unless people report it and supply them with crash reports or other info that will help them nail the problem. (I believe that they both can and will fix the 'freezes' ). Sorry, my bad, I should have been more specific, I meant, I do not believe that you are right when you write : "they just don't fix it. Look at the multiple discussions on the subject in this forum. I mean I really don't care if you believe it but the proof is out there. (using Steam PR4 bug-forum require Steam version of the game !) I still recommend anyone that has an issue to report it to Kalypso support using the information listed above or using the bug-forum. Gaming Minds and Kalypso Media are showing great will and determination to fix any valid issues with the game and IMO then people like you are either just trolling or do not want to give Gaming Minds the time needed to remedy the situation. I do not believe that any of what you wrote here is true. Shame though with all the potential this game has. No point they know about the issues on each platform, they just don't fix it. Possibly a freeze could happen in one of those background programs rather than PR4. Windows 10 can have a lot of additional programs also loaded into your RAM and operating/running that you do not realize are there. It might not work, but it might work and keep the game running for you. Give it a try (exiting Task Manager without suspending anything), it just might work for you. your most recent save game file (usually). PR4, then that operating game is gone, and you will have to restart PR4 and load a saved game file, i.e. the PR4 program, I just exit the task manager, and the frozen program, e.g. loaded into your computer's RAM), but then instead of suspending a program, e.g. When I get a freeze in a Windows 10 program(game) (such as PR4), I do a Ctrl-Alt-Del, which calls up the screen that enables you to choose Task Manager, Choose Task Manager to suspend a process/program running (you will see a long list of programs currently operating, i.e. ![]()
